Pink Sunday is a grassroots effort between the Mid – Kansas Affiliate and local churches to educate congregations on breast health during Mother's day weekend May 9 - 11, 2008. The Susan G. Komen for the Cure Mid- Kansas Affiliate will provide free breast health literature to each participating church.

Any church in the 95 county Mid- Kansas Affiliate service area may participate in this program. Churches are asked to place an announcement in the bulletin, announce the event during church services, provide breast health literature for the congregation on this date, have congregation wear pink, hand out pink carnation to the female parishners, and/or have a survivor or other related speaker give a short talk about breast cancer and early detection.

The Affiliate’s goal for Pink Sunday is to provide 30,000 individuals with life saving breast health information.
